Too many children enter foster care carrying their belongings in a trash bag. Comfort Cases replaces that painful experience with backpacks and duffel bags filled with new essentials, comfort, and a clear message: you matter, and you are not alone. In 2025 alone, the organization distributed 25,293 Comfort Cases and 7,668 Comfort XL duffel bags, supported by 10,000 volunteer hours. Each bag restores dignity during one of the most frightening transitions a child can face.
Thrive helps children and families across Montana’s Gallatin Valley feel supported, capable, and hopeful. Through mentoring, parent education, and practical family resources, the organization gives young people stronger relationships and a brighter path forward. In 2024, Thrive delivered 12,568 Parent Liaison services to 865 families and supported 451 student-mentor matches representing more than 5,000 mentoring hours. Ninety-four percent of parents said their child benefited from working with a CAP mentor.
Food Connect moves healthy food to people who need it while keeping quality food from going to waste. Through smart logistics, last-mile delivery, and local partnerships, the organization helps communities face hunger with greater dignity, reliability, and care. In Greater Philadelphia in 2025, Food Connect delivered an average of 170,000 pounds of food per month. That is the equivalent of about 4,800 nutritious meals every day through 29 community partners. Its work gives families more dependable access to nourishment while keeping good food out of landfills.
GŪD Essence expands access to organic cannabis wellness through products cultivated without pesticides or synthetic chemicals. The organization partners with veteran associations to help people living with PTSD access cannabis at little or no cost and supports families seeking relief for children with seizure disorders. Project501 prepares exterior beautification grants through city and local government for their dispensary portfolio.

Founder & CEO
Matthew is an entrepreneur focused on innovation, finance and social impact. He brings more than five years of nonprofit development experience. His background includes leadership roles such as Director of Development and Grants Manager with large-scale nonprofit organizations. He holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BA in Public Administration. He founded Project501 to bring his expertise in development to nonprofits that make a long-term positive impact on communities.
Administrative Assistant
Cici is a skilled administrative professional focused on operational excellence and dependable executive support. She brings five years of customer service and administrative experience to Project501, supporting client communications, reporting, research, and day-to-day coordination. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management. Thoughtful, organized, and known for the warmth she brings to every interaction, Cici helps keep the firm responsive, prepared, and moving forward.
Development Associate
Madeline is a grant management and program evaluation professional with an MPH and experience across nonprofits, public health, human services, and workforce development. She has managed multimillion-dollar grant portfolios and supported funder research, proposal development, budget alignment, reporting, and renewal strategy. At Project501, Madeline brings a rigorous, data-informed approach to opportunity research and full-cycle grants management, helping clients turn strong programs into clear, compelling cases for support.
